DataDevil is primarily Andy Betsworth, but also occasionally affiliates other IT professionals.

Working primarily within the traffic data industry, but also dedicated to the support and development of small and medium sized businesses in Lancashire and Cumbria, we have considerable experience of software/system development and data analysis.

Support is an important part of our work, and can be provided flexibly and in the most appropriate way for your business. This may take the form of a maintenance contract, on-site training or remote assistance.

Since graduating with a BSc in Computer Science and Software Engineering from Lancaster University in 1999, I have been working for myself, developing my expertise in many areas of IT.

I spent a short amount of time in 2000, lecturing in programming at Carlisle College, but preferred the practical aspects of IT, and thereafter focused on improving my practical skills to help meet my client's needs.

I moved to Preston in 2001 where I found more demand for my skills, and over the next few years, helped an embryonic business (CTS Traffic & Transportation) grow into an well established traffic survey company with a nationwide client base, employing 11 full-time staff, and with a database of several thousand casual employees.

My work in Lancashire has also involved other traffic related clients including Lancashire County Council's Environment Directorate, a community arts project whom I provided with a more scaleable computer network to help them as they expanded, and hosting educational software for a Caritas Care project.

I returned to Cumbria in 2010 whilst maintaining existing client relationships through use of the Internet and remote working and assistance.
